okay, so i built a cage out of cobblestone around a hole in the ground where i had captured 4 creepers, and then as soon as i lay down the last block, i hear the infamous "sssssssssss" and i run for my life, little did i know, a 5th creeper fell in the hole right in front of me and i didn't see it, and i had a glory moment when i beheld a 5th creeper that stumbled into my "creeper zoo"

lulz all around. xD
i ended up using TNT to fuck them all up. :3

@poison there might not be any snow within map_0 but if you explore far enough (boring) you should find some eventually.

@joe yes if the commands are the same as bukkit then it is /weather rain which will become snow, in a cold environment. with world edit you do /snow
