I had my ipod jailbroken and really, there's not a ton of things to do with it that's worth it really. You can get some different app, some free apps as well, customize more....but honestly, I didn't see the benefits being that great. The apps strictly for JB phones are mostly crap, and having the ability to add some paid app for free really isn't all that great. Other then tethering and maybe emulators, JB'ing really isn't anything that interests me anymore. Also, when apple updates, you typically have to re-install the JB and or revert back to apples new ios and wait till the JB is updated. Too much of a pain to be worth it.
As far as what Joe said, Having had both phones, obviously google synced well with the android...but so does the iphone. Switching phones, I was able to sync everything saved in google (contacts are the main purpose) just as easy as with android. And my android phone was actually made by google....but both phones sync seamlessly.
Some android phones have better screens but you have to remember, this is sort of comparing an "apple" (no pun in tended) and an orange tree. Apple makes 1 phone where android has many phones. Some good, some suck. Apple's processor is superior as is their graphic engine. Also, the ability to pair with other apple devices is a huge benefit for those with multiple apple products. Also, a lot of the "large corporation" app support seems to start with the iphone and "may" release to android, but may not. EG: I can sit on my porch with my iPhone and control every TV in the house....something my cable provider didn't offer with android. I can get apps to mirror JB customization as well.
As of now, Siri is more of a gimmick then anything really right now. It is a great addition, but they need to add more to it. But it blows androids VR out of the water as it stands now. Also is easier to use.
I'm not bias to the iPhone because it's the only phone I have used. I just prefer it over-all. There are some android phones with some better things (screens, camera) but as a whole package, I think the iPhone tops hands down.
