No. Tool's gimmick is to talk a ton of shit about Quake Live... then play it more then anyone.

Not even comparable. Quake Live is a very messed up game and has almost no real originality than Quake 3, but more people play it on a day-to-day basis. If Quake 3 and Quake Live had an even amount of players, or if Quake 3 even had a dozen active clans (not instagib), I would install it and play it religiously.
