well, i got a second hard drive with about 120 gigs on it, and i uninstalled my 2 games and reinstalled Quake 3 and put it on the second one, and now xfire can't detect Quake 3, i haven't installed my other game yet, so idk if it's just Quake 3 or if it's xfire, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know

Tool > Options

Click Games Tab
Let the shit detect the games
If quake 3 isn't recognized look for it in the drop down that says "Not Installed"
Select quake 3
Click on "Automatically Detect" change to Manual Detect

exactly what happend to me, x fire couldnt detect q3 when i re-installed q3...
go to xfire --> tools --> options --> games --> not installed --> [find quake 3 and click on it] --> manual detect [let it detect the shit] (or just go to browse and search it ] --> apply

Just realised someone else writ that, all the bullshit for nothing man

Data.... we already had a tutorial on this, slowpoke.

"1. Open Xfire
2. Click the "tools" tab
3. Go to options "options"
4. Click the "games"
5. On the left click "Not Installed"
6. Find Quake III Arena on the list and click it
7. To the right you will see "automatically detect" in a pull down menu.
8. Change that to "manually detect"
9. Under the "detect path" box is a "browse" button. Click.
10. The file name it is looking for may say "ChallengeQ3" Change that to quake3.exe either typing it or the pulldown below the file name."
