Although this is geared specifically towards Quake Live..... I figured this may be big enough news to put in the general news topic.
Anyone that is a current member of the *pWp* Quake Live division of our family are automatically qualified to enter this contest.
This contest ends 9/05/2010 at 11:59 EST.
Here are the current rules:
1. Make a capture while using the "Guard" rune. = 2 points each. Times needed.
2. Get the mega health in CTF or TDM only. = 1 point each. Times needed.
3. Have at least 50% acc with the railgun and no less then 3 kills with the railgun. (does not include insta matches.) = 5 points total.
4. Top T@D's or Virt's score in any game type where we play the full game. (Screenshot only needed, no demo. New games only. Any game type including insta.) = 5 points total.
5. Make plasma gun kills with Quad Damage. (minimum of 3v2) = 2 points each. Times needed.
6. Have a non-1.16 Quake Live (non-1.16) player create an approved application on pWp forums for Quake Live and use your name in their application. (Began after my initial post on Monday 8/23) = 3 points each application.
7. Play a CA game without firing one rocket (minimum 10 minute game). = 5 points
8. Make a nail gun frag. = 1 point each. Times needed.
9. Gauntlet frag either a Flag Carrier or an active Quad Damage holder. = 2 points for Flag Carrier, 3 points for Quad Damage holder. Times needed.
10. Have at least 1 of every award in a CTF game. (Cap, assist, defend, excellent, gaunt frag, and impressive. Screenshot only needed, no demo. New Games only.) Insta is included. = 7 points.
The rules for this contest may change at any time if I believe that someone has abused a loophole in any way. All games must be in Quake Live public servers. No practice servers allowed. Duels are not included as a game style for any of the point entries. Any maps can be played in any game style unless noted in the specific line. Line 4 and 10 must have an active Quake Live demo running in the screenshot noting the date to qualify. Line 4, you do not have to play the game from the start, but must finish.
All demos/screenshots must be uploaded to a neutral website and posted in this section by you with the link and times (if required). You can post 1 to 10 links per post. You do not have to post all at one time. Make a post for each demo/screenshot you want considered. Understand however, once you post to gain points for one line you may not change it later. Example : If you post a screenshot for line 10 and have a better game while the contest is still running, you may not change it. What ever you post is your final submission for that line. There will not be an edit option for the contest for your posts.
I reserve the right to change any rule for any line at any time. I can also change any line, but I do not believe that will happen. I will reply to each post with the point total for each line but I will not keep a running total publicly. You will be able to keep track on your own if you prefer. Point totals will not be argued in the forums. Any dependencies you find with my total for a submission you have can only be dealt with via PM or xfire.
ALL demo/SS posts MUST include a game stat link for the game(s) posted. That way we will know when the game was played. This will keep everyone honest and make sure we are all on the same page. It's less about lack of trust, and more about formalities. If, for what ever reason, your game does not have a stat link with your name..... it will not be count. Please keep in mind that there is a current bug with Quake Live that will show a "quit" and not record your stats if you switch teams at any time after the game start.
As of now, any Dev servers are usable (unless otherwise noted. EX: An insta Dev server will not be allowed if Insta is not an allowed game type). However, do not forget that EVERY line post must include an official Quake Live stat link with your name on the stat board.
(Those not in the clan that would like to participate will have their submissions that are in compliance to the rules above scored the same as official entries. however, they are not eligible for any prize. They would be entering for "fun" and to challenge *pWp* members. All entries with at least 5 lines entered will be posted on an official scoring list.)
Lastly as a reminder. This thread will be UNEDITABLE. You may not change a post or change entries once you have posted. Please make sure you are posting the ONE demo/Screenshot per line that you want considered.
