was readin on Lost forums and ran across this, a convo between my friend Parapeet which is also the Lost Club Leader & mart... this image HAS NOT been photoshoped in ANY way. I for one will be banning him from 2k servers, it dont matter if u are"testing" cheats or what the fuck ever its stupid and when u do it u DONT FUCKING TELL ANYONE... cause there is gonna be a mofo like me thats gonna find out about it and enforce my rights as a server ref/admin.

Like i said on Lost.. Mart i have nothing against u at all, but what u done was fucking idiotic and u deserved to be banned for it just like anyone else.. also admitting that u "tested" a cheat and DROPPED is even more reason for me to ban u, i dont give a fuck what server it was on UK, USA, German, i dont care u cheat u will get banned... sorry but thats life suck it up and go on. anyway here is the convo.

ban his ass...if he is willing to use them in any capacity is proof positive that he will cheat in an organized environment.. Thing that also made me a little sad was Parapeets lack of giving a shit.. I just recently met Para and from afar he seems okay.

Im here fairly often!
I don't see any drop logs, or saying the server isn't locked. I know he isn't the only person who's tried cheats in an online server. From past experience many people have done it, it all depends on if the server is locked or not (in the text it says empty server, likely to be locked) but I know of people who have used undetected cheats in a server together demonstrating the use of it? I also think most of you who posted on this thread know of people who have done it also.

doesn't matter. He used it download it. If he wanted to "test it" then he would go like tad to lock the server and put a password on server. So either way for downloading it. gg.

This was actually a JOKE taken out of proportion, you may ask parapeet him self, this is why the post no longer exists on lost forum and it's only remains is Smokey quoting it. You would really have to know parapeet to know that he's joking. The way the text is structured and even in the convo it's clearly just a funny convo (which goes on to note why para didn't care and didn't kick him from lost or ban him)

I'm not really good friends with mart, we sometimes say hi or something in a server or hell say my tag looks gay, something like that but I would say me and para are friends, I can tell from the convo (and with speaking to him after seeing this Razz ) that it was actually a joke. If you would like to ban him over that (NO ACTUAL PROOF) then before you even go onto banning him, begin banning everybody who has ever had a quake 3 engine "hack" (cheat) on their computer based on what maxima posted above.

Last but not least to clear up any final confusion, the only cheat mart ever used was in his own, locked server. Just as many have done, actually I can name 8 people right now from my memory alone who have used a cheat in a locked server or used them to watch demos.
Funnily enough, most server admins have. Seeing as it was his own server he was running, that made him a server admin at the time. If you have any arguments about this, please begin to ask every server admin you know if they have ever had a quake 3 cheat ("HACK") in any computer they had access to or was in the same server as somebody demonstrating the use of one.

I think I have made my point thorough, although if you have any objections I will be happy to proceed in this clean cut debate.

well peet knows how i am about cheaters... even told him that im giving the shot to his clan leader, did he say "nah dont do that its all just a joke" NO he didnt... he even added poison and talked to her about it and not ONCE said it was a joke, to not post anything about it... its once mart comes back and sees it, he runs to him and THEN its all said they was joking... w/e

Put it this way, if para truly thought he was cheating, he wouldn't have kept him in lost, and he wouldn't have posted it in somebody else's join topic to try and prove him to be a cheater, especially when he could plaster it all over the front page. It's a joke taken out of place, It's good that you do your part though...

If all my jokes about it were screenshotted (like the one edi did that JERK) I would have probably been banned from every game in every server. However, when mart wrote this it just didn't seem like a joke to me. And I actually did think he went to try cheats like he did before. He did say earlier that he never dropped, and that was all a joke too, so I guess I could have remembered wrong. But I just heard someone say it indeed did happen and he was banned for that before.
Anyway, the most important part is, I don't think he ever cheated during a match. And I know most of you guys will probably agree with that. Yeh, his warping/lag is annoying but did you ever see a shot coming from him that you thought "CHEAT!!!!!!!".
I am not here to flame him some more or defend him. My conclusion is just: he has indeed tested the cheats because of stupidity or he has an extremely bad sence of humor. But I don't believe he ever cheated during a real match.
What server owners, clans and club do with the info is up to them, both sides are understandable I gues..

To clarify, the drop mentioned was the drop which took place in the locked, private server as mentioned above.

This is the take on this situation. Para posted the SS thinking he cheated. It's obvious in the convo. The only thing that struck me in your whole post, is what I have quoted. I'm not saying he cheated or not. To me, it's quite stupid IMO to post anything of that nature, knowing it's going to be detrimental to your reputation. At least when most of us "joke" about it, it's followed by a LOL or a jk. Neither is shown in that convo.

Refs/admins/leaders can make their own decisions on the matter.

Ours is simple. He quit. End of story. No need to flame this anymore.

To back Smokey, if someone would have showed me that SS, I would have investigated also, and I would have made a post. Hacking is not something that is taken lightly in this community. So everyone needs to get off him, he did what he felt was the right thing to do. Everyone will make their own decisions on how it's handled.

No offense... but this wasn't an "investigation and then a post".... I think Merk pretty much "proved" that point. This seems to me like a quick post without actually an investigation....

But, to make sure I'm up to speed with the new community rules.... we ban everyone that "tests" a cheat.... on a open OR closed server?

Well, again, he asked para about the SS, and told him he was going to let a n2p leader know, being me. He at no time said it was a joke. He thought mart actually cheated. I also talked to para on xfire, where he told me paddyirishman gave mart cheats. Regardless, if it was a joke or not, para for one shouldn't have posted the SS, and for two, knowing Smokeys intentions, should have said it was a joke to begin with.

So a little investigation was put into it before he ever made his post.
