Raindrops


In this tutorial I will be teaching you how to create a rain drop in Adobe

Photoshop.
I will be using Photoshop CS4 for this but it works in all Photoshops.


STEP 1
Go to www.jwarrendesigns.com/tutorials/CocaCola.jpg and download that image.

STEP 2
Now open up photoshop and go file > open > CocaCola.jpg

STEP 3
Once the file opens up create a new layer


If you don't see the layers palette then hit F7 which is the keyboard shortcut

for the layers palette.

STEP 4
Select the Elliptical Marquee tool


STEP 5
On your canvas click and hold shift to constrain portions and draw a circle,

after you have drawn your circle hold down the alt key and press delete.
The Alt + Delete key is the shortcut for fill in selection with your foreground

which in this case it doesn't matter the color that you fill it in with because

we will be setting the fill to 0%


STEP 6
Set your fill to 0%


STEP 7
Right click or Control click on a mac, on your layer 2 and click on blend

options. Check on the following options, Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow,

Bevel and Emboss.
Enter the following for Drop Shadow:


Enter the following for Inner Shadow:


Enter the following for Inner Glow:


And last enter the following for Bevel and Emboss:



And their you have it, a realistic rain drop effect.
