neither, rap is gay, go mental.

Im sorry.... I had to Razz

But I agree.... rap is only as C away from Crap.

Sometimes.. They have decent lyrics (sometimes..). But they never bring good melodies and instrumentals.

Decent lyrics? ...Are you crazy?

[Verse 1]
Every time I speak my mind I'm lyrically critical
The pinnacle of being revolutionarily pivotal
Beyond anything ever studied thats metaphysical
Man fuck a minority, I'm not politically minimal
But obviously terminologies that are statistical
Are manufactured to be unequivocally subliminal
Transmitted by monopolized media visuals
So I riddle hypocritically pitiful criminals
Habitually utilizing typical rituals
With false pretense in attempts to be spiritual
TO individuals who believe in biblical miracles
Instead of themselves, because they're not thinking original
And the color of their skin makes them feel invisible
Like microscopic miscarriages lynched wit the umbilical
Only a fuckin imbecile would think their uncorrectable
Cause your susceptible to becoming more than a spectacle
Remember that your flesh your blood and you body are dissectable
Ill beat you until your vegetable
And wake up in a hospital covered in poisonous chemicals
In a fetal position wit your face sewn to your testicles
Thinkin that you were kidnapped by extraterrestrials
You got heart? I'm the blood that pumps in your ventricles
Technique, I'm like ya soul nigga.. indispensable

Immortal Technique - Speak Your Mind

He rhymes all of that song on a classical music instrumental, not a hip hop instrumental. Now, don't hate on REAL hip hop because you can't understand the lyrics or the message behind it. Understandable if you are talking about say...Lil Wayne. Or Jim Jones, or the rest of mainstream hip pop at that. But true, raw, ill hip hop lies in the underground with Immortal Technique, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, dumbfoundead, etc.

If I understood you right, that's basically what I said. Some hip hop bands have real good lyrics. Some.

What? No, not some...therefore you failed. Almost every single underground artist and group that stays away from mainstream bullshit "money hos cars clothes" are great. You can't just say some because obviously you don't know enough about true hip hop. If we were talking about RAP, like...Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, etc. then you have the right to say "Oh yeah, SOME of their stuff is okay lyrically" because that is true. But nearly every single artist that does it for the love of hip hop, is great lyrically.

Yeah I stay away from "Young" and "Lil" artists...except Young Buck. Lyrically, he is by far one of my favorite mainstream artists. Him and Eminem are awsome..but fuck Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Lil Wyte, etc. lol

Underground artists don't cover each fucking artitts. What I meant is, Underground rappers are mainly good (not all are though), but you hardly get to know them, and if you try to, you'll never get to know most of them. Some metal bands are great, a lot of them sucks. Same to rap bands. But still, you can hardly hear a rap song with a good instrumental. That's fine, to me, the rapper's voice is more important than the instrumental. Still, I prefer a good melody to good lyrics.

Didn't understand the first half of what you said but I do know what your saying as far as a good beat. I really only like a good beat/instrumental when I'm working out or a good beat for when your driving around high as fuck chilling with friends. But yeah, every type of music has great and shitty artists. It's just the way it is :F.

Damn, I haven't made myself clear. I'm quite tired, let it be my excuse for sucking at english right now. Anyway, we agree with each others, so I don't understand why we are still arguing. To me, a good instrumental is something that has a good beat, good instruments, good melodies, good bridges and breaks. When every sound is used at its best, it makes a good instrumental.

Not arguing at all, actually agreeing with you :F. Oh and btw, since Roach is dead I call the shotgun he shot himself with...I bet I could get 50$ for it at a pawnshop..maybe 75$ if there was still blood stains on it.
