Garbage Man income: 28k a year

Teacher: 24k a year

i personally think garbage man's numbers are a lot better
but i'd rather get screamed at by kids than smell like shit all the time.

Teacher, I'm majoring in music education, and it's more fun.

Wow where are those stats from?
And what sort of teachers were they? preschool? elementary? highschool?
Here in ontario teachers make pretty good money.

But meh if i had a choice between those two i'd probably be a teacher... why do something that u'll hate? Is 4k really that much of a difference? Besides garage smells! I'd gladly pay for garbage man to do what they do yuck!

Chances are garbage men have horrible hours and poor work conditions, plus they never get laid.

Chicks love role modeling with "teachers."

Sadly Garbage men have more control than teachers do. They have a better union, and 28k is small compared to some places. Here in my town they get 15-20 an hour. Which is well over 28k a year.

People dont want to live in filth, but will sacrifice education for money. Its a no win situation.

Errbody just become a miner, at the base pay in 5 months i made 25k.

Smell like shit? They are garbage men not sewer cleaners.

Also who said they are rolling around in the trash.. they drive and pick up trash. I don't know where you live but in America the trash trucks do all the work.

You also have to realize that teachers do not teach for the money. When a teacher finally decides hey I want to teach kids they don't say I am going to make bank teaching rather than they teach for the enjoyment of wanting to share the knowledge they know. YOU become a teacher for the love of it not for the money Smile

There are no mines in Anchorage... Besides im not in Anchorage, im in Haines... And, most Mine Jobs are Camp Jobs, meaning you would stay on site. Like ill be at work for 2 weeks then off for 2 weeks...

And most if not all the mines in Alaska are that way... The one i worked at, and will be working at again soon, is out of Juneau the Capital... And I know there are plenty of Mineing oppurtunities in Texas, you just have to look...

Those stats come from biggie smalls in the movie NOTORIOUS Razz

I'm from Atlantic Canada and here teachers with their BA make from 35-55 K a year and if you upgrade to a masters you automatically get paid an extra 10K a year...

Their salary increase with their years of experience Smile
