Lately a lot of people have been asking me how to get .32 so they can play Defrag and CPMA. So finally, here's the way to get everything you need in simple steps and links that I will provide.
These are quick and easy steps to download and start playing on Quake Version 1.32 (if you don't already).
First, go to your quake folder and make a new folder called Q-1.32n. Inside that folder, make a new folder called baseq3.
Next, go to http://www.quakeunity.com/file=1150 and download the .32 point release and save it in your quake folder. Then get your pak0.pk3 from your .16 folder and put it in your new baseq3. Leave pak2.pk3.
Once the .32 release finishes downloading, run it and save it. That should be it to get the .32 version of quake.
To get the latest defrag, download it here: megaupload.com megaupload.comGMK918IT
Once you do, save the defrag mod inside your .32 folder, but outside of your baseq3. Defrag maps go in your baseq3 though
Some good defrag maps that are popular on most servers are csu1_a, ful-frozen-fs, freestyle_88, amt-freestyle 1 2 3 & 4, evotm, 0ups_beta. Download them here at the quake map archive http://q3a.ath.cx/
To get the lastest CPMA, download it here: http://www.promode.ru/files/cpma147-nomaps.zip ...then download the cpma mappack here: http://challenge-tv.com/index_old.php?mode=filedetail&file=185
ADDED: CPMA 1.48 beta -> http://esreality.hexus.net/?a=post&id=1857226
Once you do, save the CPMA mod inside your .32 folder, but outside of your baseq3. The mappack goes inside your baseq3 though
Please sticky this
