Ya leg, I learned that while looking into Papa's drop. Antibot can only catch someone when the exe is ran meaning game start, vidrestart, an/or small screen to big screen. If you enter a game with a hack command and dont drop the moment you enter, you wont drop the rest of the game. I dont know the % that it can miss things, but I know it can happen for a few days.

And ya nuck, he's -1 in zone. He said he was using playa's cfg, who also dropped... so I assume thats why he dropped, but no matter. He did drop.

Him being banned is just stupid, he plas the game for what it is, he never shit talks, and it's so ovbious he would NEVER cheat, he has to be in the top 5 of people who would never cheat, ever.

If you ban him, ban me, because I've once used someone elses cfg.

what u have to understand is sketch is that everyone deserves the punishment just like the others. he droped.. deserved a -1. doesnt matter if he didnt check his cfg for illegal cmmd or for w/e he droped. a drop is a drop is a drop is a drop.

What you need to understand is you haven't been around long enough to know him, I am not a friend of mega's, but i have played him and been around him enough to know him dropping was because of him not knowing enough about commands. Not everyone has hours of time to kill on playing online games, i barely see megaman on, so if he has a chance to play, i doubt he would waste it on looking at he's cfg, command after command, q3 has over 150 commands, just so you know.



If i had to make a list of 5 legit players from 1.16, he would be in it, no doubt. Yeah, i know what people are gonna say so you're saying we don't ban people who drop? before anyone says something along those lines, someone like papa drops, he isn't exactly someone anyone would vouch for in this community, he someone lets he's anger get the better of him, and he isn't level headed at all. mega plays clean, you could play 100 games and not have him play 1 suspicious shot on you, mega is nice to anyone, even to people who don't deserve it.

That's the problem though sketch. Your opinion about papa completely differes from mine. If there was a "top 5 never to cheat" list.... I would personally put Papa on it, due to knowing him for a while and seeing what kind of person I believe he is. But, thats my personal opinion and even though I completely believe he never has/would cheat....I banned him. Same for anyone else who drops.

Creating a double standard is what ends up splitting up clans in the community. Keeping consistency is whats right, and keeps everything on the same level. Should years and years of a solid personallity matter? Yes it should. Im not saying he should be banned forever, same as papa. But the 1st reaction from every clan should be the same, an initial -1.

If a store gets robbed by a guy wearing all black with a ski-mask on and the cops show up and you are in teh store wearing all black with a ski-mask on, guess what....you go to jail. Yes, you will more-the-likely be aquitted in time and let off the hook, but the initial reaction of the cops will always be consistent.

And as far as never being suspicious, that is not completely correct. 2 people I'd prefer not to mention, asked me about a year ago..maybe a little longer, to help them in gathering demos of him. These people are well known and also well known to demo quite a few hackers. It dosent mean by any terms he was hacking and I never really knew him so Im not saying he was either.....but yes, he has been suspected.

From his own post he said he was using playa's cfg, which playa dropped from. If that is indeed a fact, and Mega gets off scott free, then shouldnt playa? If it was the same cfg that dropped both, then theres no reason both would be banned, yet playa is, and not mny really put up a fuss from what I remember.

As unfortunate as all of these situations are, unless the person lives with you, you will never "know" what's truely going on. Due to that, it's safer to deal out the same initial punishments to everyone. If not, it creates havok.

Remember Bow from era? With an era tag on and in 2 scrims (that we know of) he POSTED screenshots with walls missing. I mean actually posted htem with no pillars, showing that he had parts of the map not showing during the game.......noone can say thats not a cheat, missing walls....I mean thats a wall hack. How you can see a screen shot, actually 2, of scrims from someone when they have walls missing is for sure a -1 correct? Nope. Even though he POSTED screenshots with missing graphics, era said it wasnt a hack. Huh?.....why? Because they let their personal feelings about him get in the way and they actually let it go, and even added him to the "no hackers allowed" i clan...... even after he posted 2 wall hacked (via a command) screenshots.

Im just saying if teh community keeps consistency then it helps create order. Every clan has had or does have someone who hacked/dropped before in the past. I'm sure, in time, mega will be fine and have moved on. But a drop is a drop, that simple. A dropped SS shouldnt differ 1 from another due to who's name is on it.

I wanted to add as well. It is hard to, almost impossible to believe that even though Mega is/was inactive, that he had no clue playa dropped. Wenrt they both in the same clan? He had to, at some point be told by someone that fact, or something even more provable....he had to download/install the new NG with the warnings. It's just almost impossible to believe that someone who knows so many people, playing quake that long would have 0 clue that theres an antibot out and not 1 person would tell him anything about it. If he dropped, he had the new client side.....making him responsible for his config the second he opened quake.

And as far as the quake commands go, yes. Maybe there is 150 or more commands. Hell, there could be 15,000 commands, even 15,000,000 quake commands..... but out of all of those commands......he didnt drop from 1 of them. He dropped from a hack command. Looking at a cfg for "q3wall" isnt the same as running over your cfg line by line and checking your settings. When the antibot came out, I was going through 10 or 15 cfg's a day for a few days checking for hack commands. It's not rocket science and isn't hard. Ant thats well before everyone knew exactly what to look for. Hell the list came out what, 6 months ago now? I mean people who dropped getting let off due to noone knowing (which was still their fault since they were warned) was a decision I agreed to since it kept the community on the same level, but theres still warnings, and enough people know about it. I just find it hard to believe he had no clue, and no one told him, and he didnt read the warnings.

I could quite easily form a list of 100 people i would trust over him, he was terrible at this game (no offense) then within weeks, he got good.

Megaman, has played for years, 7 i believe.

I shouldn't care if he gets the ban, i don't know him. But my main problem is, 1.16 is defiantly thinning out faster then an aging mans hair. We shouldn't be filtering out some of the best competition.

Thats my exact point though sketch, by banning everyone who drops, theres no "gray" area...no personal opinions, no differences of results by anyone.

And to add, 7 years of playing as he has, he should have, in that amount of time, learned how cfgs work, know what to look for....and since the beginning of this year.....found out at least the 1 simple fact about the new anti-bot......which is if you got a bad cfg with a hack command, you will drop, eventually.

I will never think of him as an ex-hacker by any means....but when it comes to the consequences we have to treat everyone the same, no matter who they are.
