Assuming by the name its the same player, it looks like me may play from multipule locations. I dont think it's a dynamic IP, but not sure.

well considering its staying in the 170 region of ip range, then ya he either is playing at friends houses, librarys, or is using an IP hider. had to say these days with all the different shit u can use to change and/or cloak your IP

doubt it was that. He tried to connect many times on 1 IP, then switched to another.

well if he switched to another ip just like that then he has some sort of IP hider, i used to have one aswell. (not for games) when i was making programs to use in yahoo chat, i would get banned alot testing them out, so i had to change my ip. Im not lucky enough to be able to turn the modem off and get a new one

If im not mistaken, this locations are of the ISP, not a link to his home. His constant reconnecting under the banned IP w/o getting in leads me to believe he more then likely went from his house to andother relitives or a friends. Again, I could be wrong though. Neither IP nor any of his names have came back since.

not true. my isp server is located 100 miles away, give or take. and my ip shows right to my door.

Agreed. Mine does show my city, but located it to my ISP hum down the road.

i used to have the same thing with my isp, lol. it would locate the ip to the bronx, NY and i live in northwestern CT.

Trace route routing is different for every ISP and their Hubs. Also, depends on the trace program, and where the trace is coming from. It is usually only an estimate of where they are, but because of technology and upgrades they are allowing more accurate traces. Most IP's will trace within 30 miles, depending on how populated the area is. Anyone using a Satellite ISP service, will only route to the company's last HUB, which could be 100's or 1000's of miles away, but is usually a static IP, so once banned they stay banned for quite awhile.
