| My Xfire does not run/detect my Quake at all. When I try to load it I get an error message that says "couldn't load default .cfg." It seems the only solution would be to reinstall it completely on my computer. But, I don't trust the method of going through google and getting everything peice by peice. I'd much rather have an iso. So, if anyone has an iso image or maybe even a .zip file that they'd be willing to send, that would be FANtastic. Xfire also hasn't counted my time on quake for almost a month now, so if it says I haven't played, then that's why. Noticed the other day when it said time played in the past 7 days as 0...lol. Anyways, just giving you a heads up! Hopefully someone can help me out. -ToT@L |

| | Reinstalled. Still doesn't work lol. The method on our site doesn't work I don't think. Or it could be that vista is blocking me from saving or changing anything in the fucking folder. What a nightmare. |

| | Total, right click on ur q3 folder and check the properties, see if Read Only is ticked, if so untick it and apply it for tat folder and all sub folders as well. Hopefully tat works. Tis usually sorts out the problem of default.cfg. Since ur using vista, u cud try turning User Account Control off....tats the annoying box wich pops up everytime askin ur permission for some shit or the other. Makes ur PC a bit less secure, but u can check and see if it helps. ( Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Turn User Account Control Off) |
